Thank you for considering volunteering with Public Health Preparedness. Volunteers who have no medical or healthcare backgrounds are needed to properly conduct emergency preparedness and response efforts. Community members without medical training can assist with administrative and other essential support functions. These volunteers give their time on an ongoing basis in coordination with other experts willing to donate their time and knowledge for special aspects of the effort.

If you have experience in the health and medical profession the Public Health Preparedness Volunteer Program would provide an ideal volunteer opportunity. The PHP Volunteer Program coordinates the skills of practicing and retired physicians, nurses and other health professionals as well as other citizens interested in health issues, who are eager to volunteer to address their community's ongoing public health needs and to help their community during large-scale emergency situations.
